In this version we introduce a new concept in the process of translating a website that we have called 'Inconsistencies Detection'. The purpose of this new feature is to detect potential mistakes that can occur when creating a multi-language site, that you will discover as inconsistencies of its elements.
A website that does not contain inconsistencies provides assurance that all that has been translated is consistent and will have the same behavior in any language.
There are two types of inconsistencies that we call 'auto' inconsistencies and 'translation' inconsistencies.
An element has self inconsistencies when one of its parameters is not consistent in the context of the element. For example, an article in English language whose category is in Spanish.
Translation Inconsistencies are always detected in relation to the source of the translation. For example if the item Art1-GB in English belongs to the category Cat1-GB in English and the translation of Art1-GB into Spanish is Art1-ES, then the category Cat1-ES of Art1-ES must be the translation into Spanish of the category Cat1-GB. If it is not or does not exist, Art1-ES has a translation inconsistency. To detect this inconsistency Art1-ES is analyzed with regard to Art1-GB which in this case is the source of the translation.
The reliable source on which to perform the detection of inconsistencies is one of the content languages defined in the site that we have called the 'Reference Language'
With the detection of inconsistencies enabled the Translations Dashboard screen will show the current reference language and will signal all items that contain inconsistencies.
This functionality represents a major advance in the aid provided by KMFasTrans for creating a multilingual website. For a complete description of this feature see the User Manual.
KMFasTrans PRO 1.4.0 includes synchronizing associations between KMFasTrans and native Joomla. In version 2.5 of Joomla, there are menu items associations only and these are the ones that are synchronized with KMFasTrans associations. The Joomla 3.x version introduces new associations that will also be synchronized with KMFasTrans associations when the component is ready for that Joomla version.
Synchronization of menu items associations contains two subfunctions:
With this new feature associations synchronization between Joomla and KMFasTrans menu items is performed automatically and totally. See the manual for a complete description of this functionality.
If a screen like the Translation Management Dashboard for example, shows no information or is not found what is expected, it is probably because there is a value selected in some filter that is hiding this information. Now when a filter has a value selected, the filter is boxed in yellow and that allows to be aware at a glance of the existing filters. This is an additional facility to avoid losing time looking for something that has been filtered.
When you log into the administration area the filter 'Shown Languages' will be preselected to values ??'Published', 'All' and the reference language. The filter 'Select Element Type' will be preset to 'Articles' if the user is allowed to access 'Articles' and if not, the first type of element for wich the user has permissions will be preselected. This prevents a screen without information the first time you access the Translation Management Dashboard.
Normally the element type 'Categories' is always visible in the dropdown '- Select Element Type -' even if the user does not have permission to manage categories in some components because category permissions are per component. To hide the element type 'Categories' in the drop-down list for a specific group of users, an option has been created to enter the name of a group of users for wich the element type 'Categories' will be hidden. Thus a translator user can be prevented from accessing any content except only one, for example articles.
Copy and translate buttons didn't support some editors. Now they work correctly for CodeMirror, JCE, JomlaCK, TinyMCE and No Editor.

Now each state of a set of translations has an specific icon, not just a color change of the same icon. This is to facilitate the work of people with color blindness problem.
From this version when editing modules the value of Module Assignment will be copied from left form (source) to right form (target). The menus on the right form (the target) will be populated with the associated translations of the menus that are selected in left form (the source). Also included is a 'check' to hide unselected pages which makes the management much more efficient even if you have a large number of menus.
With this new feature suggestions of translations are completed for all cases, further improving the efficiency in translation.
A new button has been added to the articles editing screen. Clicking this button will display the article in a way almost identical to how you will finally see on the site. The button is displayed in both the left (the source) and the right (the target) to compare both items
Also added an option to configure the preview screen. You can choose between 'modal', same window, new window or popup window. You can also set the size of the modal and pop up windows.
We have completed the implementation of the propagation of changes from the Joomla native back-end editor to KmFasTrans for all types of elements, including modules, menus and menu items.
For menus and menu items, as native Joomla does not fire any event when these elements are modified, we have had to create a KMFasTrans own event. For this, it has been necessary to make an override of the menu items model. To avoid incompatibilities with other extensions we provide an option to disable this override. When disabled, changes made to menus or menu items in the native Joomla editor will no longer be propagated to KMFasTrans.
Avoiding to inadvertently trash un item. An 'alert' will ask for a confirmation before trashing the item.
The tips shown when hovering over the icons used to assign, change and create translations have been modified to make them consistent when the source language is the same than the target language.

The previous version 1.3.2 needed PHP version 5.3 or higher to work. If this was not so a parsing error was shown when accessing any menu component, even though the installation finished properly. The main purpose of this release is to provide a "workaround" to run with PHP version 5.2. It also adds an option to govern the copy of the Publishing Options in the editing screen.
KMFasTrans PRO version 1.3.3 contains the following new features

This option allows to configure the behavior of the copy of the fields in the fieldset "Publishing Options". It allows to define the fields that should NOT be copied from source to destination
By default when using the "Copy" button in the edit form, KMFasTrans will copy the values of all fields in fieldset "Publishing Options" from source to destination. With this option you can prevent copying one or more of the fields indicated. The fields selected in the dropdown (CTRL-click to select more than one) will NOT be copied from source to destination.
Workaround for using PHP versions lower than 5.3
This version provides an alternative solution to use PHP version 5.2.

This module is a very important tool for the operation of a multilingual website.
KMFT Language Switcher module is an alternative to native Joomla Language Switcher module when the component KMFasTrans is installed. What this module adds respect to the native module is language switching at the article level (this also applies to contacts and news feeds).
As it is known, in the current version of Joomla you can only switch languages at the menu level. For example if you have a Spanish menu that shows a list of items, when you switch to another language, such as English, if both menus are associated, you will see the same list of articles in English. However, if you are viewing an item from that list, say in Spanish, when language changes, for example to English, you will not see the same article in English but you will see the list of articles in English.
To fix this behavior, the KMFT Language Switcher module uses both, association of Menus and association of Items. For the switching to function properly it must be ensured that both the menu leading to article as the article itself are associated. In KMFasTrans PRO both associations are made automatically when you create a translation, so all that you have to deal with is having translated everything needed (category, article, menu, menu item, module ... ). Doing so language switching will work properly for all content.
When creating a new translation item in, lets say Language B from another item in language A for example, if any of the parameters of the new element (category, parent category, menu, menu-item, etc..) is known to have a translation to language B, this value will be suggested as the value of the parameter. This will save the time needed to look for the appropiate parameter value and also will avoid mistakes.
Remember that one item is known to have a translation if there is a Translation Set that contains the item and at least one of its translations.
In this version this applies only to parameters in the basic fieldset and also to the parameter Select Article, Contact or Newsfeed when translating a Menu Item of type Single Article, Contact or Newsfeed. Next version will support this feature for any language dependent item.
When assigning a menu item to a set of translations, the list of candidates to be assigned showed all menu items. Now that list is filtered to show only the menu items that belong to the translation of the menu to which any one of the elements already in the set belong. For example if menu item A1(en-GB) belongs to menu A(en-GB) and the translation to spanish of menu A(en-GB) is A(es-ES), with this feature you will not be able to assign an spanish translation to A1(en-GB), lets say A1(es-ES) if A1(es-ES) does not belongs to menu A(es-ES).
In addition, the assignment screen will also display the menu that owns the menu items for you to be confident that you are choosing a menu item from the appropriate menu.
This new feature adds one more level of automation to achieve correct translations.
When you make a change to an article in Joomla frontend it will be propagated to KMFasTrans. This means that if the article was in a translations set, this set will be marked as 'modified' and you will see the the details of the modification in the set details screen.
The same applies if the changes are made in Joomla back end native editor.
Problems fixed
1. Pagination on the Translation Dashboard screen was not working when a value was established for an specific filter of an element type other than the one displayed. For example a filter for menu type in Menu Items when viewing Articles.
2. After status update or any other update on Translations Dashboard screen it reverted to page 1. Now it reverts to the page were it was before the update.
3. No nesting information on column 'Category' or 'Menu' on Translations Dashboard screen.
4. Incorrect items ordering on the Translations Dashboard Screen. Now, when ordering by the first column (Category, Extension, Menu or Module Type), the second column (Title) will be ordered in alphabetical ascending order within the results of the first column. If the first column is 'Extension' (for type Categories), or 'Menu' (for type Menu Items) the second column will be ordered by the level rather than the title, showing the hierarchy of categories or menus from the highest level to lowest level.
5. In certain circumstances the details window of the Set of Translations did not open completely.
